The update contains the following changes
- New Pricing Model
Going forward, fees for a .dk domain name will be adjusted in line with Statistics Denmark’s Net Price Index. We will adjust prices annually on April 1, based on the index’s October determination from the previous year. Price adjustments are necessary as our costs to manage the administration of .dk domains rise in accordance with general price developments. - Transfer Fee Waiver
The fee to transfer a .dk domain name will be removed. From January 1 2025, it will be chargeless to transfer a .dk domain name from one registrant to another. - Verification of identity and contact information by Registrars
The updated terms allow .dk domain registrars to perform verification of identity and contact information of the registrant behind a .dk domain name. This change is being implemented in response to the European NIS2 Directive, which will be adopted into Danish law in 2025.
