DIFO and Punktum dk increase their efforts for security on the Danish part of the internet

Punktum dk and DIFO is increasing efforts for security on the Danish part of the internet after dialogue with the internet community. Online crime and fraud are unfortunately a growing problem, and it is an area that we at Punktum dk already focus heavily on.

Punktum dk øger indsatsen for et sikkert internet

During the first half of 2025, we have held both oral and written hearings. The central theme here has been an open debate on how we can jointly do even more to combat the increasing crime online.

The result? New initiatives to further strengthen security on the Danish part of the internet:

  • We will disclose whether data and ID control has been carried out
  • We are prepared to shorten the deadline for data and ID control
  • We increase contributions to cybersecurity awareness
  • We are investigating the possibility of a "trusted flagger" scheme

Punktum dk cannot agree to the proposal that Punktum dk should decide whether intellectual property rights are being infringed – just as we do not wish for a change in current practice regarding domain suspension.
