The Danish Internet Forum (DIFO) invites to a hearing to uncover the internet community's position on administrative orders in connection with the blocking of websites and domain names.

The new EU regulation, the Digital Service Act (DSA), presupposes that authorities can order that action be taken against illegal content on the internet without a prior court order. However, this must be done on the basis of an order issued pursuant to EU law or national law. The new regulation reflects the general trend in society towards putting more effort into illegal and harmful content on the internet – even without this necessarily happening on the basis of a court order.
DIFO expects that the increasing trend towards combating illegal and harmful content will at some point lead to new legislation, which makes it relevant for DIFO to have a position on administrative orders. Specifically, the Danish Safety Technology Authority has asked about DIFO's/Punktum dk's position on this.
Since DIFO represents the internet community, we want to uncover the internet community's attitude to administrative orders.
Based on the consultation, a consultation note will be prepared, which will be published on DIFO's website. The result of the consultation will be used as input for future consultation responses regarding administrative orders..
