DIFO maintains that there must be judicial review in connection with illegal content on the internet

April 4th 2024

DIFO has held an oral and written consultation of the internet community on whether public authorities should be able to issue orders to block access to websites and domain names without a court order, but only on the basis of a decision.

DIFO received many good inputs from the various actors, where some were in favor of administrative orders and others were against administrative orders. The hearing responses were thus not clear-cut.

Based on the consultation responses, DIFO has decided to maintain its current position that a judicial review must take place. DIFO has, among other things, emphasized that .dk domain names are currently not used for abuse to a significant extent.

We thank the internet community many times for your participation.
