IPv6

The internet only works when PCs, servers and a great deal of other devices can find each other. They do this via IP addresses.

However, the internet is actually running out of unique addresses. The outdated IPv4 standard is still the most widespread – but it cannot provide adequate security.

If we do not take action and transition to IPv6, your users may one day no longer be able to access your website. The modern IPv6 standard makes many more addresses available while improving security and accessibility for you and your users. Your registrar will help you move your website over to IPv6, but it is also your responsibility, as the domain owner, to get the ball rolling.
