How to complain about us

If you are dissatisfied with a decision made by us you may appeal. This page provides information on how to complain about a decision we made and where to submit your complaint.

Basis in our terms and conditions

We make decisions in accordance with our’s terms and conditions. For example, we may decide to suspend a .dk domain name due to non-payment. We may also apply the special suspension rules outlined in the terms and conditions.

For further details and the exact wording of these suspension rules, see paragraph 9 in our Terms and Conditions.

Complaints to the Complaints Board for Domain Names

If you are dissatisfied with a specific decision made by DIFO or Punktum dk, you may submit a complaint about the decision to the Danish Complaints Board for Domain Names. The complaint must be submitted to the Complaints Board no later than four weeks after you have received notification of the decision. However, you should be aware that a complaint does not have a delaying effect, for example, on a decision to suspend a .dk domain name.

For more information about the Danish Complaints Board for Domain Names, see the Board’s website: www.domaeneklager.dk. You will also find instructions on how to submit a complaint here.

You may, of course, choose to refer the case to the ordinary courts as an alternative to the Complaints Board for Domain Names. The case does not need to be heard by the Complaints Board for Domain Names first. For more information about this, see the Danish courts’ website: www.domstol.dk.
