Administration model

Punktum dk's administration model allows the user behind a .dk domain name to always be in full control over the domain name.

The user enters into an agreement with us regarding the right of use of the domain name.

The user also enters into an agreement with the registrar through which the domain name is registered. At this registrar, a web hotel or access to a mail server is also typically purchased together with the domain name. The registrar will be able to help with all practical aspects of the domain name and its functions, such as payment and for setting up the name servers and mail servers.

The user chooses whether a registrar should handle the administration of the domain name for them or whether they wish to do so directly via us.

We use the agreement with the user to ensure that an identity check of the user can be carried out, and so that we can suspend the domain name in special circumstances.

Our administration model is established by the association Danish Internet Forum (DIFO). DIFO is subject to the Domain Act, which regulates the domain administrator function in Denmark.
