Invoice for your .dk domain name

If you manage your .dk domain name directly with Punktum dk, you will receive an invoice from us when the registration period is due for renewal. The invoice covers the right to use the .dk domain name. Web hosting, website services and email services are normally paid for through your registrar or service provider, which also provides these services.

Why am I receiving an invoice from Punktum dk?

You receive an invoice from Punktum dk if you handle the payment and administration of your .dk domain name directly with us.

This means that you may receive one invoice from Punktum dk for the .dk domain name and another invoice from your registrar for services such as web hosting, website services or email services.

If your domain name is registrar-managed, you pay your registrar instead, in accordance with the registrar’s prices.

All registrant-managed .dk domain names must switch to registrar management no later than 30 June 2028.

You can view and check your invoices in Punktum dk’s self-service portal:

Log in to Punktum dk’s self-service portal.
Select Payment and invoices.
Find the relevant invoice.

If you are unsure whether an email is from Punktum dk, you should go directly to the self-service portal rather than following links or using payment details provided in the email.

How to recognise an invoice from Punktum dk

We send invoices from the email address noreply@punktum.dk.

The email includes your name and user ID, and the invoice is attached as a PDF. The invoice includes, among other things:

Your full name
Your address
Your customer number or user ID
The domain name to which the invoice relates

If any of these details are missing, or if you are otherwise unsure, you should not pay the invoice. Check the invoice in the self-service portal and read our guidance on fraudulent emails and scams.

What happens if the invoice is not paid?

If the invoice is not paid, Punktum dk will send an initial notice.

If no action is taken in response to the notice, your .dk domain name will be suspended. You have 14 days to respond to the notice. After that, you have 30 days to pay the outstanding amount and restore the domain name. Restoring a domain name after suspension may incur a fee.

If payment remains outstanding, Punktum dk will terminate the registration of the domain name.

Remember to cancel the .dk domain name separately

If the .dk domain name is registrant-managed, cancelling your web hosting, website or email service with a registrar is not enough.

If you no longer wish to use the .dk domain name, you must also cancel it with Punktum dk.

If the .dk domain name is registrar-managed, your registrar is responsible for cancelling the domain name on your behalf.

When the .dk domain name switches to registrar management

All registrant-managed .dk domain names must switch to registrar management no later than 30 June 2028.

When the .dk domain name switches to registrar management, the registration period you have already paid for remains valid. You therefore do not lose the remaining part of the period and do not have to pay the period fee to Punktum dk again for the same period.

The price of the .dk domain name itself is fixed, while the prices of web hosting and other services may vary from one registrar to another. After the switch, you will pay the registrar in accordance with the registrar’s payment terms.
