CVR in Bankruptcy

A .dk domain name that is registered to a bankrupt company can be considered an asset of the bankruptcy estate. The curator must contact Punktum dk to gain access to handle the .dk domain names under the relevant CVR number.

The curator must send the curator's certificate via our contact form, which you can find here.

Once we have approved the documentation, we will register the curator's email address as the contact for the domain name, after which the curator can manage the domain name via the self-service on our website.

Until the domain name is transferred to someone else or cancelled, the curator is designated as the registrant on behalf of the bankruptcy estate.

If the Bankruptcy Estate Has Been Completed

If the curator has not submitted a curator's certificate to Punktum dk and the estate has been completed, it is considered that the .dk domain names is not part of the bankruptcy estate and can therefore be administered by the existing registrant.

Are the Domain Names Under Registrar Management?

If the domain names are under registrar management, the curator must contact the registrar for access to the administration instead. You can read more about registrar management here.

If your website or e-mail address is not working, it may be because we have suspended your domain name. The most common reason for doing this is that we have not received payment for the domain name.

You can easily get your website or e-mail address up and working again by restoring the domain name through your login to our online self-service portal.

When you are logged in, you can either go to "Payment and invoices" and pay the invoice under "Open invoices" or you can go to "Domain name" and choose "Restore domain name" on the select button next to your domain.

The restoration fee is DKK 125 per domain name.

If a domain name is not restored within 30 days of the date of suspension, we delete the domain name.

ID check is a process in which we verify the contact information and identity of a registrant.

Registrants residing in Denmark must log in to our self-service portal using MitID and then enter their CPR or CVR number.

Please read the complete procedure for ID check of new registrants and the complete procedure for existing registrants.

For registrants with an address outside of Denmark, we perform a risk assessment of the contact information provided in a domain name application. We assess the probability that the contact information is incorrect, and thereby the risk that the domain name application may be associated with cybercrime. A registrant may be asked to submit documentation verifying that the address and identity provided are correct.
