How can we help you?

If your website or e-mail address is not working, it may be because we have suspended your domain name. The most common reason for doing this is that we have not received payment for registration of the domain name.

You can easily get your website or e-mail address up and working again by restoring the domain name in our online self-service portal.

The restoration fee is DKK 125 per domain name. A domain name can be suspended for three months. If it is not restored within three months, we delete the registration of the domain name.

You must transfer the domain name if you want to give it to another person.

Please note, that you cannot transfer the domain if there is an unpaid invoice on the domain name. Please pay the invoice and then you can transfer the domain name.

There is a fee of 70.00 DKK to accept the transfer of a domain name and become the new registrant. When you have transferred the domain name you no longer have the right to use it.

Step 1

Choose "Transfer to new registrant" in the drop-down menu in the "Manage" column.
PLEASE NOTE! If you wish to transfer more than one domain name, you can find it under "Manage multiple domain names" at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2

Enter the e-mail address of the new registrant who is to have the domain and press CONTINUE.

Step 3

Make sure you entered the correct information and press CONFIRM.

The new registrant of the domain names will receive a request by e-mail to accept the transfer. The transfer will not be carried out until the new registrant has accepted and paid.

PLEASE NOTE! If you are only proxy of the domain name the current registrant must confirm the transfer of the domain name before it can be carried out. The current registrant will receive a request by email. Once the current registrant has confirmed that the transfer may be carried out the future registrant will receive an email with a request to accept the transfer. When the future registrant has accepted the transfer it will be carried out.

If you do not have your password, you can click "Forgot password" and have a temporary password sent to your registered e-mail address.

Remember that you can also log in with your MitID if you have previously connected it with your profile.

If you have not previously connected a MitID, and you cannot receive login information on your current contact email with us, then do the following:

As a company:
You need to make sure that the e-mail address you have provided in the CVR register is updated to an active e-mail to which we can send login information. We must be able to see the e-mail address by public posting on CVR under "Extended company information" at https://datacvr.virk.dk/
Afterwards you must call us and inform us that you have updated your e-mail address.

As a private registrant:
You must call our customer service (33 64 60 60) from your specified contact number and have the contact email updated.

If none of the above is an option, you can read more here

You can find your user ID by clicking here.

You can find your password by clicking here.

When you register a new .dk domain name, you can inform your registrar about the user ID you already have. If you do not inform the registrar, a new user ID will automatically be created every time you register a new .dk domain name.

If you have several user IDs registered with exactly the same contact details, you can merge these into a single user ID on our self-service portal.

In order to merch your user IDs, you must first ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • The profiles must be registered with 100% identical information. This means that the phone number, address and e-mail must be exactly the same on all profiles. You can check all of this under "my profile" when you are logged in to the self-service.
  • All invoices must be paid on all profiles.
  • The profiles must not be registrar managed by your provider.

Once you have ensured that the information above is corrected, you must do the following:

Step 1. Log in to the profile you want your profiles to be merched on

Step 2. Click on "my profile" inside the self-service

Step 3. Under the menu item "manage profile" click on "Merch user ID"

Is your domain registrar managed?

It is not possible to merch your user-id's yourself if you are registrar managed. You must contact your registrar so they can merch your user-id for you.

You can read more about registrar management here

You must contact the Danish National Register of Persons (Folkeregistret) and apply for name and address protection in the register of persons. Once you have name and address protection, you will also be hidden in the whois database.

Read more about name and address protection at borger.dk.

If a .dk domain is registered to a deceased person, it can only be administrated by the heir of the deceased, who can choose to transfer or cancel the registration.

In this case, we ask the heir to submit a probate certificate. If there are several heirs, powers of attorney from other heirs must be forwarded.

As well as the information in the probate court certificate, we also need the email address of the heir who is to take over the right to the domain name.

The documentation can be submitted to us on https://punktum.dk/en/customer-service

Once the correct documentation has been received, we will insert the person's email address as contact for the domain name. In this way, the heir can access the administration of the domain name on our self-service portal, where the domain must be terminated or transferred.

Yes, as a Danish registrant, you must be able to provide proof of your association with an address in Denmark.

All registrants of .dk domain names are required to complete an ID check and provide correct contact details (name, address, telephone number and email address). You cannot register a .dk domain name without providing correct contact information.

Registrant

Once you have registered a .dk domain name, you are the registrant of the domain name. It is you who entered into the agreement with us, and you therefore have the right to use it. This includes an annual fee to keep the user-rights. As a registrant, you can make all corrections regarding the domain name on our online self-service.

Proxy

The registrant may authorize another person or company to perform actions regarding the domain name. This role is called proxy and will be assigned a separate user ID.

The proxy can handle the following: Changing name servers, DNSSEC, creating nameservers on the domain name, changing the registration period for a domain name and change the payer role.

Some actions initiated by the agent must be approved by the registrant. This applies, for example, to transfer or termination of the domain name.

Payer

The registrant may pass on the payment of the domain name to another person or company. This role is called payer and will be assigned a separate user ID.

The payer cannot perform actions other than paying for the domain name.

The registrant can manage and register roles via login to our self-service under "Domain names".

If your domain name is registrar managed, you cannot administrate roles. You can read more about registrar management here.

If you do not have access to the email address or phone number listed on your profile, we ask you to contact us to validate your information through an ID check.
